Together, Mark and Kathy Shangraw create fine artistic portraits that portray the beauty and spirit of the people they document.

Mark’s photojournalism background adds a unique story-telling style to his work. Kathy’s friendly and down-to-earth approach to each session puts clients at ease to be themselves during their sessions, allowing Mark to create award-winning images.

Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and cutting edge imagery to their clients, Mark and Kathy continually push themselves as artists, actively attending photography conferences and workshops. They regularly collaborate with and study under today’s most gifted photographers, craftsman and industry leaders.

Both are active members of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the Northern Illinois chapter of professional photographers (PPANI), as well as Senior Portrait Artists (SPA).

What’s more, Mark earned his CPP status (Certified Professional Photographer) in 2004, a designation held by fewer than 3% of photographers worldwide.
